🎁 Holiday Fundraisers Are Here! 🎁
The holiday season is upon us, and St. Gregory School Council is excited to offer two wonderful ways to support our school while getting ready for the holidays!
Funds raised help support field trip transportation, STEM Nights, school dances, special events, school improvements, and student experiences.
🍫 Purdys Chocolatier Fundraiser
Did someone say CHOCOLATE? Stock up on delicious Canadian-made chocolates for holiday gifting, entertaining, or treating yourself! Up to 30% of every purchase goes directly toward supporting our school.

🌲 C.C. Farms Holiday Wreaths & Planters
Holiday Wreaths ($35): Beautiful 20-inch wreaths made with spruce, white cedar, and pine, finished with festive red sumac.
Holiday Planters are ($40): Seasonal arrangements featuring spruce, cedar, and pine, accented with red dogwood branches and red sumac.

Parish News - St. Maurice Mom’s Group
Looking for a chance to connect with other moms and caregivers?
St. Maurice Parish’s Mom’s Group meets every Wednesday from 9:30–11:30 a.m. for a relaxed morning of free play, circle time, snacks, coffee, and fellowship.
All caregivers are welcome! It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet other families, make new connections, and build community.
We hope to see you there!

Our next meeting is Monday, December 7th at 6:00 PM in the Learning Commons (in person and virtual option available). All parents and guardians are welcome to attend and get involved! We’d love to see you there.

School Council members provide input and advice to the Principal on topics such as:
local calendar of events and activities
school code of student behavior
school curriculum and program goals
selection of the Principal through the identification of a profile-type for the school
school budget priorities
school-community communication strategy ie methods of reporting to parents and the community
extra-curricular activities in the school
The School Council needs your voice, your input, your contribution to make the school better for all students, including yours!

Meetings are held approximately once a month from 6:00-7:30 PM in a hybrid model (in person and online).
All parents/guardians are welcome to attend and join - we value your input.
Board-Wide Parent Organizations
Catholic School Parents’ Association (CSPA)
The Ottawa Catholic School Parents’ Association (CSPA) is a volunteer group representing all OCSB parents. They are a resource for school councils and the parent community for information on local and provincial education issues. Through their website, social media, and email newsletters, they provide updates on education in Ottawa & Ontario, as well as tips, resources and information to help parents support their children in school. All parents are welcome and encouraged to join their e-mail list, follow them on social media @OttawaCSPA, and register to attend their meetings or events via EventBrite.
OCSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC)
The OCSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) is a provincially mandated committee made up of parents, a trustee, the Director of Education, an elementary and high school principal, and other school board staff as required. The purpose of PIC is to support, encourage, and enhance parent engagement at the school board level to improve student achievement and well-being. PIC is a subcommittee of CSPA, and parent members are appointed by CSPA.
Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC)
The OCSB’s Special Education and Advisory Committee (SEAC) makes recommendations to the Board in respect of any matter affecting the establishment, development, and delivery of special education programs and services for exceptional pupils.

Please note that access to the Parent Portal, SchoolMessenger, School Cash Online, and other parent-facing services is NOT available until a student has attended school and their registration has been fully processed. Families should wait until their child has started attending school before attempting to access or register for these services. The OSTA Parent Portal (School Bus) is a separate system. For questions regarding access, registration, or information within the OSTA Parent Portal, please access OSTA.
Student personal information is used by school and Board support staff (e.g., practitioners, consultants) to support student learning, student well-being, and smooth transitions between schools and programs. This information may be used by and shared with appropriate educators and professionals who work together to support students.
